Diving course package

The Goudes Dive Centre offers training courses for divers from beginners up to level 3 (CMAS***). Our instructors will be delighted to share their passion with you.

Initiation
Maximum 5 m deep, no medical certificate required.

As the word indicates, this is the first contact with the world of silence. We’ll make it an unforgettable experience you’ll definitely want to repeat! We take special care of beginners: our instructor accompanies you and is in permanent contact with you from the start to the end of the dive.

Level 1 course (CMAS *) (inclusive equipment)
Mandatory documents: medical certificate (validity < 1 year) + valid diving licence

Duration: 3 days (except weekend), 2 dives/day
Depth: 20 metres, always accompanied by an instructor

Your instructor will take care of you from the beginning of the course, he will explain you how to use the equipment and accompany you during the whole dive. You will learn everything you need to know to dive safely, to make hand signals and to clear your mask. Each dive will contain small exercises and end up with an exploration of the magnificent underwater world of Marseille.

You will be regularly tested (and when necessary corrected) by you instructor and at the end of the 3-day course, you will obtain a CMAS certificate (Worl Underwater Federation).

The level 1 certificate will allow you to dive (accompanied by an instructor) in any structure offering diving activities.

Level 2 course (CMAS **)
Mandatory documents: medical certificate (validity < 1 year) drawn up by a sports doctor or a doctor member of the FFESSM (French Diving Federation + valid diving licence

Duration: 5 days (except weekend), 2 dives/day
Depth: 40 metres, accompanied by an instructor or a level 4 diver
Autonomous up to 20 meters depth with other divers being at least level 2.

We think that the Level 2 is one of the mot important in a diver’s life as this level is the key to autonomous diving.

Unlike the level 1, this course contains an extended theoretical part (use of the decompression tables, diving-related hazards, etc.) You will be taught by an instructor who will be pleased to share his passion with you and answer any question you may have.

he practical part will allow you to learn all the reactions required to dive in complete safety and to provide assistance to a diving buddy in trouble.

The level 2 course is closed with an exam.

Level 3 course (CMAS ***)
Mandatory documents: medical certificate (validity < 1 year) drawn up by a sports doctor or a doctor member of the FFESSM (French Diving Federation) + valid diving licence

Duration: 5 days (except weekend), 2 dives/day
Depth: maximum 60 metres

The level 3 will allow you to make almost all types of dives.

RIFAP (Réaction et Intervention Face à un Accident de Plongée): first aid provider certificate (applicable only in case of diving accidents, mandatory.

Level 4 course (supervision authorization)
Mandatory documents: medical certificate (validity < 1 year) drawn up by a sports doctor or a doctor member of the FFESSM (French Diving Federation) + valid diving licence + RIFAP

Pre-course from Lundi 13 November 2006 to 17 November 2006
Course and exam from 20 November 2006 to 25 November 2006

The level 4 is the first supervision level: you will be able to supervise level 1 divers up to 20 m and level 2 divers up to 40 m depth. If you are an initiator, you will be authorized to train divers up to 20 m depth.
